The first solo exhibition in Birmingham in 2002 was at Shades Gallery of Contemporary Art. This included fourteen paintings in the Sunglass series. Other sunglass paintings have been added since then along with a painting of the Morales sculpture at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, that is now part of their permanent collection. The photograph was taken in January of 2001, several years before moving to Birmingham.
